Worked closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Tooling to implement product improvements and solve product issues. This project has a potential savings of $600,000 per year.Process Improvement Team Member – Aided in programming of Universal Robot and Keyence lasers to perform in-process inspection of composite parts. Reduced at-risk product from $400,000 to $40,000. Performed Gage R&R on measurement system. Programmed an SPC chart in excel to display data and alert operators to out of control conditions.Provided Six Sigma Black Belt knowledge to the Engineering department’s investigations as the department’s Sig Sigma “Consultant”.

Initial Six Sigma project resulted in a material change and tooling adjustments reducing non-conforming product from 100% to 10%.Monitored performance of PLC based production equipment including high temperature presses, high temperature ovens, and other custom designed machinery. Utilized Automation Direct components and Directsoft programming software. Programmed PLC based custom 6-sided presses.Programmed production data collection systems in Excel using advanced macros to guide user input and merge data from multiple sources. Allowed process input data to be tracked and analyzed in support of root cause and corrective action.
