I serve as a member of the Advisory Committee which looks at overall issues in the DH@MSU community and identifies needs that should be worked on, either in the Advisory Committee, or for the other committees to take up. It also runs the committee election process and the call for new Core and Affiliated faculty members.I also serve in the DH@MSU Liaison program as a representative of the History Department. The Liaison Program seeks to create better communication between DH@MSU and the departments and other units that DH@MSU connects with.

Hired to fill in for the retiring Executive Director with a mandate to manage a major web platform upgrade and maintain day-to-day operations as H-Net’s Executive Council pursued a new long-term institutional hosting agreement and permanent Executive Director. Steered the organization through a financial crisis as the COVID pandemic cut revenues by more than 50%. After securing two Paycheck Protection Program loans (since forgiven) and running two successful fundraising campaigns, the organization is fiscally stronger today than it has been in years. Created professional development tracks to elevate part-timers, incentivize staff buy-in, and manage day-to-day operations more efficiently.

Direct H-Net Home Office operations and manage the coordination between H-Net officers, staff, and editors. Responsible for migrating nearly 200 email listservs with associated HTML webpages to a moderated Drupal-based CMS, the H-Net Commons. • Played a lead role in the release of the H-Net Commons 2.0 (CMS redesign initiative)• Led training for hundreds of network editors to use the new CMS platform.• Maintained close collaboration with volunteer network editors to create new networks, planning networks, and new network projects.
