Photographer for The Painted Turtle, one of Paul Newman’s Serious Fun network of camps, caring for children with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions. The Painted Turtle serves children with illnesses including hemophilia, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, crohns and colitis, juvenile diabetes, skeletal displasa, arthritis, liver and kidney transplant recipients. As the camp photographer, I captured still images and built multimedia presentations for campers and their families as well as for a major fundraising campaign. My work was presented at the Oakland Athletics Dinner on the Diamond fundraiser, and at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Worked as a staff photographer providing news photography on deadline for a daily community newspaper. My duties included shooting news, sports and feature photo assignments for print and the web. In addition to photographing, I attended budget meetings, trained new photographers, color-corrected, toned and optimized pictures for the web. Advocated on behalf of the photography department in over 100 page one meetings. Filled in as the photography editor on nights and weekends and as needed.
