I am a young, diligent, and aspiring person with a goal-oriented work ethic. However, I believe a balanced skill set is pivotal to succeed in today's workplace. Therefore, I focused on becoming as well-rounded as possible when developing my variety of skills. I am a quick learner, both from others as well as from my mistakes.I previously worked for Steel Dynamics, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana as an intern in the treasury department. During my time at Steel Dynamics, I have performed a variety of tasks. My primary projects include preparing the month end files for corporate accounts and working capital and managing costs by requesting, compiling, and analyzing data regarding bank service charges on Company accounts.In my treasury position, I developed a clearer understanding of the application of cost based accounting and corporate finance topics. I increased my knowledge of various investments including commercial papers, certificates of deposits (CD's), and money market funds (MMF's). I also gained experience in managing the bank to company relationship as well as extracting a clearer understanding of risk assessment through the analyses of credit default swaps and credit ratings. In May 2019, I received a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Fort Wayne in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Certificate in bank management.I recently participated in the Leadership Preparation Program at Lincoln Financial Group, working in Retirement Planning Services - IT as a Metrics Analyst and Financial (MAF) Analyst. I worked closely with others to create budgets, analyze variances, and discuss strategic initiatives. Most of my work involved Agile-managed projects across multiple lines of business within the company.I now am a part of Vera Bradley’s data-focused strategy, serving as a liaison between my data team and the business teams we support. I leverage my understanding of data practices, visualizations, and insights in business to ensure that our partners make data-supported decisions. I also oversee the email and text e-commerce channels, optimizing processes, increasing efficiencies, conducting database hygiene, and driving improved revenues in the channels.
