Hello, my name is Jesse Hall and I am currently a Student of Year Up Chicago. Year Up is a one year work program for young college age students (18-24) where students build up their professional skills. I am currently in the IT track and continuing to build up my knowledge of hardware. Since starting the program, I became exposed to information about cyber security. While attending Year Up, I attend to not only further my development in cyber security, but also utilize what I've learned to further my education. As of recently, I've taken the Chicago Police exam and wish to work harder to becoming a great asset for my future employer.Before Year Up, I attended Monmouth College and Wilbur Wright College. The Year Up program gives me a chance to continue building up my professionalism. While currently limited, I've studied French for three years and Japanese for a year. In my personal life, I read, play games, and practice guitar from time to time. Even though the Year Up program keeps me busy, I also join my grandmother and volunteer at the food pantry at Hope Community Church located on 5900 W. Iowa St. The reason why I volunteer is because it keeps me productive and proactive. I also enjoy being an active member of my community and giving people any available help when needed.
