Electrical Engineer Senior Design Project: The Toro Company • Researched and designed a hydraulic forklift attachment for the Toro E- Dingo, a compact utility loader. Emphasis was placed on safety and ease of use. Aided in the design of a height and weight safety indicator. The project utilized an inductive sensor for the height indicator, and a pressure transducer for the maximum weight sensor. The forklift attachment complies with ISO standards. The intention was to build a forklift attachment proving a visual warning system that alerts the operator when maximum height and/or maximum load has been met.• A multi-disciplinary team member representing UMD’s Electrical Engineering team, I worked with Toro Company’s product and engineering teams to meet specs and drive required outcomes.• Participated in presentations regarding designs, analysis and documentation for the forklift attachment and sensors to the Toro Company; the Senior Design Project was highly regarded, met all required criteria by the Toro company and exceeded their expectations.
