I develop software that optimizes Amazon's fulfillment center network.Think of this as a effectively a weighted digraph where nodes represent warehouses and edges represent truck routes between warehouses. I optimize the network for reliability, speed, and cost. For instance, our software answers questions such as:- What would be the effect of adding a new route? How would that change the demand on adjacent routes?- Where should new sites be located?- What time of day should trucks leave warehouses?

Implemented a real-time payments system. This project's goal was to reduce transaction times from 1-2 days to sub-10 seconds.For a transaction to occur, there are many legal and technical checks that need to occur. For instance, we needed to find a way to reduce anti-fraud screening from a batch process that took up to one business day to a service with 5-second SLA.
