Jesse J Kaplan, RCPF, CPRSR-FE-AS, CPS; a person in long-term recovery. Jesse was given an amazing opportunity to begin serving as a Youth Prevention Advocate for Know The Truth™ (KTT) Prevention Program, with Mn Adult & Teen Challenge (MnTC). He was grateful to have the opportunity to give back by educating youth on substance use by sharing his personal story in hopes of deterring students from making the same decisions he made.He served a term with AmeriCorps Recovery Corps as a Recovery Navigator providing peer recovery support, and then for MN Prevention & Recovery Alliance (MnPRA) as a CPRS Supervisor. He is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Reciprocal, with Forensic Endorsement, and Approved Supervisor (CPRSR-FE-AS) and a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS). Also, a Recovery Coach Professional Facilitator (RCPF), providing others with Peer Recovery Support Services (PRSS) training. He enjoys the work he does supporting others in navigating their own recovery.He loves the Recovery Community and believes in taking an active role in making a difference. He is currently working for Mn Adult & Teen Challenge as a Regional Outreach Manager for the Rochester area, the Founder & President of Sons Of Light, Inc, and Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Certification Board.
