Jesse directs the overall strategy and vision at A/M, facilitating business outside of the company while guiding employees and other executive officers towards a central objective. Jesse brings with him a solid reputation in the design, retail, and home decor industries. He began his career as head of Product Development at M&Co. under the direction of Tibor Kalman, and over the past eighteen years he has launched dozens of brands, art directed a wide range of product collections, designed unique private and public spaces, and conceptualized and created a national organization of artists, manufacturers, and agents. Jesse is an innovative and award-winning designer and marketeer, and he has collaborated on projects with key brands and retailers both domestically and abroad.

With a firm belief that the New York home and gift market was long overdue for radical evolution, SHOPPE OBJECT debuted in August 2018 and reimagined what a trade event for our community could look and feel like. As the market season’s grand finale, and as a global epicenter of creative output, we believed that New York should offer a pared-down showcase of exactly who discerning retailers need to meet, and of what they need to see, know, and buy. A focus on elevated and synergistic collections of new product is now SHOPPE OBJECT’S signature experience, highlighting an intimate and curated environment with engagement, activation, opportunity and cheer. SHOPPE OBJECT, along with its digital marketplace, SHOPPE ONLINE, offers brands and merchants an exciting new platform custom-built for forging community, collaboration, and new business.

Sir/Madam is a brand of ceramic, glass, stone, metal and textile products with a focus on cooking, dining and entertaining. Created by Jesse James and Kostas Anagnopoulos of Aesthetic Movement in partnership with Sylvia Pedder Khanna, Sir/Madam is available through quality retailers both domestically and abroad, as well as direct to consumer through its own online shop. Sir/Madam's collections evoke classic motifs and historical references in an easy, modern way.

Designed and curated by Jesse James and Aesthetic Movement, Regular Visitors (RV) was a retail concept store located on Smith Street in Brooklyn’s burgeoning Boerum Hill. RV represented a union of the disappearing independent mainstays of a traditional town center. It was an amalgamation of the main street coffee shop, newsstand, stationer, pharmacy, and housewares store, offering multiple reasons to walk through the doors each day.
