I am an experienced, efficient, and detail oriented experimental researcher with a demonstrated history of working in academia, national labs, and the semiconductor industry. I have crystal growth experience that ranges from solvothermal synthesis of nanocrystals, to Bridgman growth of bulk single crystals, and LPCVD of epitaxially grown thin films. I have worked extensively with both optical materials and semiconductors.At Ames National Lab I successfully designed and executed experiments to identify the precursors and processing conditions to produce a controlled morphology of MnF2 nanocrystals, allowing for the project to advance to doping studies for up-conversion optical properties used for medical imaging applications.For my time at the Scintillation Materials Research Center at the University of Tennessee, I advanced the use and understanding of structural characterization and processing techniques of bulk single crystal metal halide scintillators to improve their optical properties as radiation detectors for nuclear non-proliferation and medical imaging applications. My work led to discovering 5 new compounds and authoring/co-authoring 13 publications in peer-reviewed journals. At Applied Materials Inc, I designed, executed, and presented experimental results on epitaxial growth and annealing of highly phosphorous doped Si thin-films for executive review and future implementation for nMOS applications. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science focused in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and I am currently pursing my PhD in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Florida. My research is focused on nanosecond pulsed laser annealing of implant amorphized Si1-xGex epi thin films and synthesis of Ti(Si1-xGex)2 contact liners for pMOS applications
