Taking advantage of underperforming prime real estate, The Readiness Collective aims to establish beachheads to bring best in class education and community capacity building initiatives to strategic cities across the country. Readiness is a discipline and practice. Like diet and exercise, it cant be purchased, it must be cultivated.

Excited to launch Tactivate's next project as a member of the second cohort of NYU's Tandon School of Engineering Future Labs APEX incubator for veterans and DOD affiliates.

The Active Collabrative Workspace, a Tactivate project, was a concept designed and built on the premise that physicality stimulates innovation and creativity and was the first co-working space to be built within a fitness facility sparking the trend in the industry and the evolution of conventional fitness offerings. The first two locations were built in collaboration with Brooklyn Boulders where the concept is still incorporated into new facilities under a different name. The concept has been named the most innovative co-working space in the world by Forbes and Fast Company and continues to generate international press recognition. www.activeworkspaces.com

Created the initial concept for the “Yippie Yard” launched as the Wynwood Yard by Della Heiman. Identified a need and developed the concept for an unconventionally programmed outdoor healthy entertainment and gathering space to mesh the growing art, entrepreneurial and creative scenes in Miami. Created the Mortar and Pistil outdoor survival training pop-up bar concept onsite, which took initial beverage revenues at the project from $20k to $150k monthly in three months time of operations.

Brooklyn Boulders is the nation’s leading rock climbing fitness and co-working brand. I co-founded and launched the Boston and Chicago locations and led strategic initiatives, PR, and partnerships company wide. My role included leading branding and community activation efforts that directly contributed to a $34M capital raise on a $110M valuation at time of personal exit. I was responsible for managing all facets of new facility launch and initiatives outside of construction, successfully opening 70,000+ sf of space in two locations in a period of two years. My role included driving presale membership through digital campaigns and the design and curation of events designed to cultivate community. We reached $200k+ in pre-sales per facility and 1500+ members prior to grand opening events. I was also a key player in identifying and forming strategic partnerships with entities that included Uber, TEDx, Spartan Race, Gore-Tex, Patagonia, and The Cambridge Innovation Center.

Archer Group Investments (AGI) was a consulting firm specializing in assisting international clients throughout the asset acquisition, repositioning and disposition processes. I founded Archer after identifying Panama as a unique investment environment, and I launched the company to enable culturally mediated, transparent and effective operational presence for foreign direct investment. My role included managing multidisciplinary teams, conducting remote, austere environment logistics for development activities for a remote multimillion dollar real estate portfolio in a contested area with drug trafficking, mining operations, and indigenous populations. Project successes included negotiating a $1.2MM purchase for a land bank investment and a partnership with a Panamanian developer to refurbish a mixed-use facility of 12,054 sf in the historic district of Casco Viejo, yielding total sales revenue of $1.4MM and an IRR of 35%.

Escobar was a pop-up nightclub designed to run for one season but has since run continuously for nine years, earning a best in the city rating from Aspen Magazine in our first year. I oversaw all marketing and PR for the launch of the concept negotiating a 10x ROI exit after one season.

The Pedasi Foundation was formed to promote the sustainable economic and cultural development of Pedasi Panama, by bringing together local residents, expatriates, and Panamanian and international developers and politicians. The effort was designed to help steward the foreign direct investment activity in a way beneficial to all stakeholders by ensuring all affected had a seat at the table. www.pedasi.org
