I've been working with my current company, Walt's Bike Shop, for over ten years. I originally started as a sales associate before becoming a lead salesperson and eventually the Marketing Manager. I graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2015 with my Bachelors of Science in Business with a Concentration in Marketing. At school I learned a lot about running a successful business. That combined with my creative talents makes me a well rounded marketing and graphic design professional.I've been an avid cyclist since 2008 and originally started racing mountain bikes around the Midwest. I quickly fell in love with cyclocross and have done various races in the region as well as traveled to bigger races. Currently I spend my time training for fun and doing whatever races I can make it to. Criteriums, road races, gravel, cyclocross, and mountain, I enjoy all types of riding/racing. In 2013 I promoted the CoMO Cyclocross Cup for the first time. I created the event from the ground up and each year since it has grown in participation, budget, and awesomeness. Since its creation, the race weekend has been sponsored by many local businesses. In 2016 I plan to run the event under the Walt's Bike Shop umbrella, furthering our brand's exposure and linking my current position at the shop with my race directing.In 2015 I helped to create the BOCOMO Fondo, a non-competitive gravel road ride through the region. The ride continued in 2016 and will get better every year.
