Hungry AV technician specializing in live audio mixing. 2024 will be my 3 year working in the AV industry full time. Both as an W2 employee and 1099 freelance employee brought in by companies and I’m more then capable of haul/setting up a full Pa at a venue. Mixing the show. Striking everything, then returning the gear where I picked it up. Besides working events. Am in the process of getting my own PA system so that I can offer my mixing services along with the PA system. My main goal right now is to have everything I need By July 2024 to take jobs that my PA and myself are hired by a client and i take care of everything for said event. I’ve already done this via a 10-12hr day from leaving my house. Picking up gear. Hauling to the venue. Setting everything up. Sound check. Mix gig. Strike. Haul gear back to where I picked it up home. I will continue to work events for companies and as a freelancer even once I get my own gear. I’m always looking for more and better opportunities that bring me more experience as I’m not entirely sure which branch of this industry I want to force on career wise. Whether stick with audio or I may get a video or light opportunity I can’t pass up. Leading to working in one of those only. Maybe this happens with rigging. I would like to get more experience in rigging during 2024. I do have a forklift license and I’m comfortable working at heights or on ladders. I’ve spent 8hr shifts in a basket of a boom lift at 75-125 feet in the air without issue, working as if I was standing on the ground. I can drive a box truck and have with weight. I haven’t driven a 26ft box truck with air breaks. But I have driven 20ft trucks and pulling trailers. Mechanically inclined and can solder. I absolutely love the pressure of it being up to me for whether a event starts on time or not or whether the band actually sounds good coming out of the PA no matter how good they are as musicians.
