Jesse Parker, P.Tech. (Eng.) Email and Phone Number
I am an experienced Petroleum Engineer Technologist and registered P.Tech. (Eng.) with The Association of Science & Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET). My earliest oilfield experience was while employed with the bulk fuel and oil card lock locations owned and operated by Miller AG Supply of Okotoks, Alberta. After graduating from the Petroleum Engineering Technologist program held by SAIT in 2009, I was employed with Horizon Drilling where my downhole experience began. This was an opportunity to apply my recent SAIT studies to drilling horizontal wells for future hydraulic fracturing operations. I was employed by Husky as a Completions & Abandonment Technologist, programming and executing horizontal fracs in the Redwater Field. Progression and experience led to the role of Completions Superintendent for the North-East Central, North-West Plains, West, South-West Saskatchewan, and eventually Lloydminster Districts Technology and methodology advancement have always been my inspiration to ‘think outside of the box’, allowing me to utilize new tools and systems with confidence. I am strongly versed with well abandonment and decommissioning, including involvement with project management through completions operations. I’ve been responsible for program design, the execution, and the coordination of services and Wellsite Supervisors. This has provided experience with SCVF/GM (surface casing vent flow / gas migration) operations where I developed a true passion for remedial cementing operations. Well File Information Management is something I treat with high regard, because of my operational experience with both old and new wells. This enables me to understand the wellsite’s past and apply today’s methodology, allowing me to develop and record an approach suitable for today’s regulations and directives. This was my inspiration for involvement with the WIA (Well Integrity Association) Society, CSUR (Canadian Society of Unconventional Resources), the IRP-27 (Industry Related Practices) Committee, and PIC (Performance Improvement Committee).I have experience as a Wellsite Operator (field) which has furthered my progression within the oil and gas industry, and most recently work with the CVALM (Codeco-Vanoco Asset Liability Management) Group and continue to develop in my skills and experience in the completions and abandonment sector of the industry.'If You're Aware Of It, Take Care Of It’.
