Technical duties• Review and manage the preparation of individual, partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, fiduciary and estate tax returns.• Consult with clients with regards to tax planning needs throughout the year, including preparing tax projections for the upcoming taxable year.• Interact with lawyers and other specialized professions in the completions of tax returns, tax planning and other various tax and accounting projects. • Constantly evaluate the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations and other tax authorities when preparing or reviewing professional letters and/or memorandums.• Experience with clients from a wide a variety of backgrounds including commercial and residential real estate, healthcare, wine and beer industry, and other professional service industries. Staff development• Serve as a development adviser to less experienced staff members in order to help develop their tax skills and career in public accounting.• Provide tactful and constructive written and verbal feedback through formal staff evaluations and informal meetings.Firm management• Part of the tax efficiency committee that helps the firm become more efficient in its tax software and provide technical expertise to the professional staff. • Evaluated and helped assist the firm in the software conversion of Lacerte to CCH ProSystems tax.• Presented a variety of tax subjects to the firm's professional staff. Recent presentations include updates on the net investment income tax and repair regulations.
