Director Of Urban Planning
CurrentThe Director of Urban Planning & Land Use is responsible for overseeing the execution of all activities and functions within the Transportation & Planning program. This includes facilitating participatory urban planning, designing community engagement frameworks, strategizing campaigns, building coalitions, and leading teams; directing activities and functions in Transportation & Planning department or cross-program areas, including working with Program Managers to develop, implement and evaluate program delivery, procedures and standards; monitoring program budgets; interpreting and complying with all applicable regulations; identifying and developing funding opportunities; providing specialist advice and supervision to clerical, technical or professional staff, the public and other agencies. Transportation & Planning:-Secure new funding and retain existing sources.-Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of staff.-Co-develop and monitor program budgets, reporting to the VP of Community Development and Policy.-Supervise managers to ensure efficient project delivery and goal achievement.-Shape sustainable land use policies aligning with community, zoning, and environmental standards.-Develop and maintain project evaluation systems and documentation.Executive Team:-Protect CHCDC’s assets and integrity through open communication and strategic management.-Attend executive meetings and community events relevant to the role.-Partner with VP of Community Development & Policy to secure resources for CHCDC’s mission and goals.
