I am the President of Noise Control Engineering, LLC (NCE), an acoustical consulting company specializing in marine and industrial acoustics and vibration. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Glosten. Our clients include the US Navy, shipyards, naval architects, vessel owners, vessel operators, and more.I am a dedicated and enthusiastic leader with demonstrated success building a premiere acoustical consulting business by driving strategic initiatives, managing a diverse team, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet client needs. I am responsible for budgeting, business development, client management, creating and managing technical initiatives, technical oversight, creating a fun and inclusive work environment, and more. I am passionate about solving complex challenges to maximize mission effectiveness while minimizing undesirable impacts. Since joining the company in 2001, I have led efforts to develop and implement technologies and techniques to facilitate solutions to complex acoustic and vibration problems. I have been the principle investigator and project manager on a multitude of marine projects requiring airborne noise, vibration, underwater noise, dynamic stress, and other specialized predictions, measurements, and assessments. I have developed acoustic solutions for platform supply vessels, tankers, offshore patrol vessels, ferries, large and small military vessels, research vessels, dredgers, drillships, production platforms, cargo vessels, high speed catamarans, tugboats, cruise vessels, and other vessel types. I have enjoyed my travels around the world to perform compliance and diagnostic testing.
