This involves traveling to different locations every few weeks, where I lead a team of contractors and collaborate with Amazon management to ensure seamless implementation. In this current role, I design and implement custom PowerShell scripts to extract metadata from Windows Event Viewer and integrate it with third-party APIs. This allows for detailed analysis of geolocation data, enhancing our understanding of events. Additionally, I architect and configure Azure Sentinel workbooks to create dynamic visualizations of global RDP brute force attack data. These workbooks showcase the physical locations of attacks and illustrate their magnitude on an interactive world map, providing actionable insights for our security operations.Key Accomplishments:☛ Spearheaded the configuration of Azure Log Analytics Workspace to ingest and analyze geographic data, improving insights with detailed latitude, longitude, state/province, and country information.☛ Mapped geo data in Azure Sentinel by creating and optimizing Custom Fields in Log Analytics Workspace, driving advanced threat detection capabilities.

As a Network Engineer, I utilized Hyper-V software to teach network security fundamentals and micro-segmentation to our trainees effectively. It was crucial to ensure that all our teachings aligned with the latest DoD Security Policies, so I established and enforced strict security audit timelines. This ensured compliance and prepared our future Marines adequately. Additionally, I took charge of managing contractors and implementing technological solutions at various Amazon sites throughout the U.S., aiming to optimize operations and enhance security measures across the board.Key Accomplishments:☛ Achieved 96% uptime and zero security breaches while monitoring Confidential and Secret networks at Camp Lejeune over 4 years, confirming all software and hardware remained current.☛ Trained 50 Marines in advanced network security fundamentals, equipping them to tackle increasingly complex challenges.☛ Defined robust incident response protocols, significantly reducing damage and liability during critical security breaches.
