As an architect and designer at Cushing Terrell, I am dedicated to bringing creativity to every project and client. The objective of our team is to explore all facets of a project to achieve a design that responds to the individual site and meets the needs and goals of our clients, while staying rooted in reality and budget. My focus and specialization has been with executive private residences, restaurants, hospitality, and resort communities. I enjoy diving in and really learning about how people live or experience a space. I always joke that by the end of the design process for a residence, I will probably know how my clients live better than they know themselves.Additionally, I have managed and worked extensively on large government projects and term contracts in both the United States and Asia. Understanding the funding mechanism, delivery process, local culture, agency requirements, and the design criteria are all challenges that make the government project type intriguing to me. I am a client advocate and problem solver, viewing each challenge as a learning experience. Operating in this capacity has helped me to further develop my organizational, negotiating, and communication skills. While these project types and experience may seem broad or unrelated, the variety of work and clients have helped me cultivate a unique set of skills and approach to each project.
