Lead Geotechnical Engineer responsible for directing the McLaren Geotechnical team as well as coordinating alongside our respective civil, structural, marine, bridge, and construction engineering teams on multidiscipline projects. Our services include geotechnical investigations, preparation of geotechnical reports and recommendations for various construction and development projects, design of shallow and deep foundations, and construction phase support and inspection with respect to foundation work.

Geotechnical engineer tasked with management of various construction projects within the five boroughs of NYC and the Greater New York area. Responsibilities include:-Preparation of proposals and project budgets-Management and coordination of project subsurface investigations (subcontractors and field staff)-Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports, with recommendations for shallow and deep foundation design, settlement analysis, support of excavation requirements, and site seismic and liquefaction evaluation-Preparation of construction monitoring plans and coordination of instrumentation installation and monitoring-Preparation of project geotechnical-related specifications (earthwork, deep foundations, dewatering, etc.)-Construction phase services, including field inspections for NYCDOB P.E.-required deep foundations, (helical piles, driven pipe and H-piles, gravity and pressure-grouted drilled micro-piles, and rock socket inspections), load test observation and analysis, and contractor submittal review and comment.

-Coordination and supervision/inspection of field work including subsurface investigations (borings, test pits, percolation tests), below grade pile foundation installation (Pipe, H-Piles, Helical, Micropiles), post-tension strength testing of tieback anchors, and static load testing of installed driven piles (Quick Test Method & 24-hour).-Geotechnical Report preparation following subsurface investigation with project site analysis and foundation solution recommendations for projects in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut (in accordance with applicable Building Codes). Foundation calculations and design with programs L-PILE, A-PILE. -Perform drainage study for Stomrwater Pollution Prevention Plan and design of stormwater conveyance systems, including grading, catch basin & manhole layout, underground detention, detention/sedimentation basins, open flume, plunge pool and outlet conduit protection. Projects in New York and New Jersey. Design with programs WinTR-55 and AutoCAD Civil 3D Hydrographs Hydraflow.-Preparation of civil plan sets (utility, layout, grading, sediment & erosion control, demolition) with AutoCAD-Perform project cost estimates, including cut & fill through terrain modeling with AutoCAD Civil 3d-Survey field experience including topographic land survey & fathometric hydro survey
