My initial and continued engagement with design is as a process for addressing complex intractable problems. As a latino, first-generation college graduate, I am particularly interested in disrupting and interrogating systems that reinforce traditional power dynamics. Over the course of my career, my practice has evolved to incorporate abstract disciplinary approaches like Systems Thinking, Futures, Service Design, and Organizational Design; as well as business and strategy frameworks like Agile, Lean Methodologies, and in-depth Market Analysis.
