Once I realized that the collection of knowledge is a life-long process, I no longer felt like I had to limit myself to one broad area of study. As a consequence, my academic journey has led me to study a wide variety of topics such as Engineering Design, Marine Biology, and French, to a such an extent that I am able to apply important skills from all those fields into my professional career. Besides my academic interests, my personal interests have further added to this useful skillset. To begin with, I am able to express myself at an advanced level in English, Dutch, and French, whilst having a basic understanding of Spanish, Portuguese, and German. With this foundation of knowing different languages, I am able to convey my ideas to a broad audience. Furthermore, I have experience with utilizing Engineering fabrication tools like 3D printing, CNC machining, Molding and Casting, CAD, Electrical Circuits. Additionally, I am well equipped to perform Biological Analysis like PCR, qPCR, and DNA/RNA extraction. Finally, my love for music and creative writing have added another dimension to my academic interests, challenging me to seek the "out of the box" and interdisciplinary solutions.
