About Jesse Richardson

I'm a writer, entrepreneur & community strategist. While my educational background is in political science and public policy, my professional work focuses on brand building. Over the last 10 years, I've worked at the executive level in a variety of startups, building teams with 60+ people and producing over a half dozen 7-figure run-rate businesses. Across projects, I've developed over 200 branded experiences with 500k+ combined e-commerce shipments. Some past partnerships include those with Sazan Hendrix, Alexis Ren, Earl Enterprises, ELLE Magazine, Amber Rose, Cindy Crawford, and Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine.Currently, I operate my family business The Brothers Apothecary, a boutique superfood company that distributes 60+ SKUs to over 400 stores nationally, provides contract manufacturing, and operates a cafe & market in Portland. The Brothers have been recognized as a top CBD company by publications like Dope Magazine, Herb, PopSugar and Newsweek.I have a strong focus on building social capital alongside business. Since 2011, my projects have planted over 100,000 trees and helped raise 100,000s of dollars in support for a variety of community efforts, including clean water initiatives, equitability reform, and supporting veteran organizations. Currently, I volunteer & work directly with @PortlandsPantry, one of the fastest growing food pantries in the state of Oregon, located in the Lents neighborhood of SE Portland. Here, I've implemented box-building style technology to expand touchless food pick-up and delivery. This system now helps serve over 80,000 people per year, and has been utilized across Oregon by Oregon Food Bank, DHS, medical systems, and additional pantries.
