Retention Programs Co-Ordinator
I helped raised the level of support and services offered at Brock by managing the students who are the heart of our services. I supervised 20+ students whose role was to be a mentor to other students. We served over 5,000 students on average annually. I also designed electronic systems to improve assessment, data collection and satisfaction. I helped design our BOOST program, a program to assist students at-risk. I left this position but I left a legacy of leading by example, finding innovative ways to improve our services, and built an impeccable reputation for providing excellent leadership to our student staff.
Outreach Coordinator, Sdc
I was hired to launch the First Generation Program for students who are the first in their families to attend post-secondary. I created a program that provided academic, co-curricular and financial support. The program was so successful that later I was responsible for developing and adapting academic and co-curricular programming for specific student populations (e.g. mature, transfer). My main duties included budget allocation and supervision of program and services, recruiting students, planning events, organizing workshops.
Lab Supervisor
I was one of the original four supervisors promoted from being advisers in the Department. I helped developed a dynamic and approachable team of advisers. I took emphasis in creating a team of experts in customer service and relationship building to support our students at Brock. At the end of my time as a supervisor the team had grown considerably and the profile of knowledgeable and friendly advisers reputation had been well established on-campus.

Communications Assistant Summer
I was responsible for conducting email communication with both domestic and international prospective students for the Academic Year 2005-2006 and for providing campus tours to students and families, while I also volunteered in Brock University events like Open House, Fall Preview Day, and Career Fairs. I really enjoyed this position as I was able to bring my own experiences and stories to the prospective students. I had the privilege to see many of the students I communicated with or lead a tour choose Brock as their post-secondary institution for their studies.
Lab Advisor
I assisted students and staff with printing issues, and/or any problems in relation to the software on computers and managed inventory within the Computer Labs at Brock University. I was able to solve issues for students and make their experience favourable while dealing with academic software they were uneasy about.
It Assistant
I provided technical computer support for company employees while also serving as a company representative during the Computer Fair at the World Trade Centre, Mexico City
