Vice President, Business Initiatives
Current• Lead a collaborative effort with diverse stakeholders including business, education, economic development, labor, philanthropy, and government agencies to create regional economic development plans focusing on equitable economic growth known as California Jobs First.• Lead Economic Development, Workforce, Housing and Infrastructure committees to educate and mobilize investors on critical topics in Orange County. • Identify and analyze state and local policy to determine adherence to the policy platform set forth by the education and business community. • Effectively engage and advocated for policies related to workforce and economic development to elected officials, federal, state county and city staff, business and non-profit leaders.• Build and maintain relationships with Elected Officials, Workforce Development, Education, and Economic Development associations and stakeholders, such as the California Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), U.S. Commercial Services, Orange County Department of Education, Orange County Community Colleges and Universities to improve economic growth and talent development.
