Here in short my career in a quick overview. I have been working for more than decade in the financial industry. My career started as a tax consultant at EY and as a junior accountant at PwC while I was still studying to get my bachelors degree. Between my bachelors and masters, I decided to study a year in the US (Boston, MA) to become more proficient in English and Business. After my Msc Finance (VU, Amsterdam), I started working at Delta Lloyd as a trainee where I gained experience in insurance, mergers & acquisitions and asset management. I finally decided to focus my attention towards asset management where I began working in the Valuation and Performance Measurement department at Delta Lloyd Asset Management. I was responsible for all the valuations of the derivatives and illiquid assets and for the performance attribution calculations for our fixed income portfolios. After a few years, I got the opportunity to start working as a Junior Portfolio Manager at Delta Lloyd Asset Management. My expertise was investment grade corporate bonds with a coverage of technology, media and telecommunications companies. I was responsible for idea generation, portfolio management and trading. During that period, I earned my CFA designation. Afer my role at Delta Lloyd Asset Managemt, I became a Multi Asset portfolio manager at NN Investment Partner which later became part of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. I was responsible for approx. 8 billion of AuM. In 2023, I started my own company Money Principles to help people with financial education. We now have a radio progam, social media channels, written a book (More wealth Less dumb) and give coaching to wealthy families around the topic of family wealth. Finally, we help connect entrepeneurs with providers of good capital.
