I won reelection in 2024. In November 2022, I was re-elected for a fourth term in the New Hampshire General Court as a State Representative. I was appointed to Chair Division III of the Finance Committee (DHHS). As such, I was responsible for House legislative action and oversight on approximately a $3B a year total budget. Additionally I have appointments on a variety of committees to include serving as the Vice Chairman of the Joint Health and Human Services Oversight Committee, the Joint Legislative Fiscal Committee, the Governor's Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Treatment, and Recovery, Commission to Evaluate NH Granite Advantage Health Care, Joint Committee on Dedicated Funds, and the Long Range Capital Planning and Utilization Committee as an alternate.In the second term, I served on the Ways and Means committee after first term service on the Health, Human Services, and Elderly Affairs committee. An additional couple of roles are to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol as the Legislative Squadron Commander and as the Chair of the Veterans Caucus until 2021. I have a seat on the Rockingham County Long-term Care Services committee for my three terms. In other volunteer categories, I serve as a board member with Granite State Taxpayers, on the Advisory Board to the Liberty House, a transitional housing organization helping veterans and as a Unit Commissioner for two Boy Scout troops.I round this out by service to the Planning Board of my town, Auburn, NH, teaching graduate courses in Project Management at Southern New Hampshire University, and serving as the Past Commander and current Treasurer of our local American Legion Post 108.I'm a combat veteran with over 33 years of Army service and retired as a Medical Services Corps Lieutenant Colonel in 2009. I've led projects throughout my career, the largest of which was in Afghanistan as my project team established the Consolidated Training Facility to train battalion and brigade combat forces for the Afghanistan National Army.
