With over 5 years of experience in water management and farming, I am a skilled and versatile watermaster who can operate and maintain a variety of equipment, systems, and facilities. I am passionate about delivering water to farm fields through open canals, ensuring proper canal levels, and managing miles of levee. I enjoy working with a collaborative team at Conaway Ranch/RD 2035 where I share their vision of sustainable and responsible agriculture.As a watermaster, I am responsible for operating and managing a river intake facility that delivers water to over 17,000 acres of farm land. I also record and report meter readings on a monthly basis, and coordinate with contractors for any work needed on the levee. I use SCADA to monitor and control the water levels and flows, and operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, dozer, and road grader. I have strong mechanical and welding skills, and can repair and fabricate and perform maintenance on pumps, wells, and equipment as needed. I am also involved in rice farming, and have experience in driving tractors, running irrigation, and working on harvester headers.
