Senior Manager

Deloitte

• Championed the “Digital Capital Projects” concept, securing an internal investment focused on scaling and commercializing a solution that harnesses digital capabilities to optimize operations. Initial investment gained national attention after realizing 50x in net new revenue, which supported the progression of team members into new leadership roles. • Guided a challenging organizational transformation to achieve breakthrough results by aligning objectives across multiple departments and leadership. Specifically, the client sought to create a world-class, real property organization aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership from acquisition to disposal - realizing economies of scale, standardizing processes, and benchmarking performance to improve governance and management of the global portfolio. This collaboration focused on improving operations and portfolio performance to realize an estimated $1B in savings over 5 years. • Developed a comprehensive capital improvement plan to inform investment, maintenance, and decommissioning decisions for a client's national portfolio. Led the team in: conducting industry research, holding stakeholder interviews and workshops, creating risk and benefit criteria, and formulating the selection process based on Multi-Attribute Decision Analysis (MADA). The framework was submitted to the U.S. House and Senate Subcommittees on Appropriations for review and guidance on funding of the Capital Improvement and Maintenance program. • Conducted a nationwide assessment of state DOTs programs to research, evaluate, and document effective scheduling and risk management practices. The deliverables created will be distributed to all 50 state DOTs and include program guidance around identified best practices that will enable state DOTs to improve their approach to project scheduling and risk management as well as develop data-driven schedule reporting and analysis tools.

Manager

Deloitte

• Developed a Tableau-based dashboard for monitoring $1B+ in annual construction spend. Led the team in: analyzing existing systems, assessing data quality, establishing relevant performance metrics, developing operational insights, and providing a framework to enhance future control and reporting. Results of the 2-month assignment disrupted the client's portfolio management – leading to a multi-year, nationwide contract to continue support services.• Elevated leasing operations through the overhaul of a global, residential benchmarking program. Led the team in streamlining the monitoring of ~15,000 leases via an automated scoring process using SQL and Python scripts to quantitatively monitor compliance. Utilized a Tableau-based dashboard to increase reporting efficiency, minimize risk factors, and improve data quality. Benefits included the reduction of previously unknown risks (e.g. $43M missing leases) and reduction of lost labor-hours spent unnecessarily (e.g. 325 “extra” leases).• Collaborated with an urban municipality to improve service delivery of solid waste management (SWM) services through analytics and visualizations to promote data-driven decisions. Led in the team in: establishing the context for improvements, understanding the current state, assessing the availability of monitoring data, and evaluating the potential for a performance management system. The team identified 34 existing projects and held 47 stakeholder meetings within a 2-week period.• Developed a cost-benefit analysis for a consolidated training center, estimated at $400M. Led the team in: conducting site assessments, document reviews, and industry analysis in support of constructing the financial model for calculating lifecycle costs related to the facility's construction, operation, and maintenance. The results supported the agency's objective in its case to leadership and ultimately Congress, who approved the consolidation of the training facility based upon this analysis.
