As a Strategist at Sixth Street, I focus on data-driven approaches to identifying and evaluating investment opportunities at scale, with a specialization in Growth and Mid-Stage Growth. Built NorthstarRisk from the ground up with the founder, growing the company from zero clients to collaborating with global hedge funds with diverse strategies, including equity long/short, macro, and systematic trading strategies. Northstar Risk provides software and consulting services to help hedge funds manage risk, evaluate performance, and effectively communicate with investors. Northstar’s platform seamlessly integrates with back office and order management systems to provide real-time risk and performance analytics all in one easy-to-use and interactive application.

I sat on the Fixed Income Trading Desk working closely with Portfolio Managers and Traders developing portfolio management strategies and tools to streamline existing workflows. Throughout the process I performed ad-hoc data analysis, created custom tools, and developed solutions to address gaps in third-party software. This allowed for new insights, increased communication, and more precise monitoring of portfolios in a fast-paced environment. During my time working closely across investing strategies, I detailed a number of additional opportunities, from trade ideation to working the trade on the desk, where a more embedded technology presence would add immediate value while also better preparing the division for the future.
