About Jesse Cottle, Ms, Pa-C
I am a Marine turned Healthcare Provider with a passion for life sciences and innovations in medicine/technology that improve peoples' lives. I consider myself a motivated individual who is constantly seeking personal improvement & professional development. I find humor in the idiosyncrasies of life, while respecting that which makes life a blessing. I grew up on the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies in Fort Collins, CO. In 2003, I responded to a calling and became a U.S. Marine, ultimately deploying 3 times to Iraq and, after reenlisting into Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), had the pleasure of spending a year in Okinawa, Japan. I then deployed to southern Afghanistan and during this tour, lost both legs at the knees to an improvised explosive device (IED) while conducting combat operations. Through a fairly arduous recovery, I learned firsthand what it is like to be a patient and what comprises great versus average/subpar healthcare professionals. I subsequently had the privilege of experiencing incredible things I wouldn't have otherwise, such as skydiving with the Navy Leapfrogs, playing the piano with the Beach Boys at the Kennedy Center in D.C., speaking with Pres George Bush over the phone, and getting to meet Gary Sinise (aka Lt. Dan from Forrest Gump).Toward the end of rehabilitation, I dove into my education and after attending school in San Diego and Denver, became a Physician Assistant (PA). After initially working in general medicine and being exposed to a bit of everything, I took on my current role in Interventional Neuroradiology, which combines out-patient/clinic and in-patient/hospital medicine. I am also currently earning an MBA as I seek reasonable mastery of leadership/management and business optimization principles.I'm a lucky husband and proud father of three amazing kiddos - they and my wife represent the main force that gives me purpose and motivation in life. Work-life balance is of the utmost importance, as I enjoy going on adventures with my family and just being with them whenever I can. I also enjoy staying active, playing the piano, watching movies, and exploring new places, whether a new (to me) country or just a new local restaurant. One of my all-time favorite trips was to the South of France with my wife - if I'm fortunate enough, I'm hoping to explore many more places with her.It is not hardship itself that defines us, but rather our reaction to it. "You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength." ~ Marcus Aurelius.
