I work with App Development & Management Teams representing Vendors, Client Healthcare Oganizations, and various NextGen Solution teams to facilitate their success in bringing applications powered by NextGen Healthcare's APIs to fruition across the entire SDLC & GTM process, from initial engagement & app integration ideation to integration architecture consulting to post-production growth & enhancement. I serve our API Developer Community and manage our API Partner Program. I own our Developer Portal & Forums, API Marketplace, and author implementation guides, technical documentation for developers (OAuth/Authentication specs & implementation guidance, SMART on FHIR, route/workflow-specific guidance for app-to-EHR integrations, etc.) and for Clients of NextGen Healthcare who adopt & utilize API-powered integrations. I help inform the API roadmap as part of the Solutions team (i.e. Product Management) and also work closely with those in our R&D/engineering team who create & maintain our API platform, gateway, and the hundreds of individual API routes that together represent a vast breadth and depth of EHR integration functions. Supporting and managing our Developer Program gives me the opportunity to collaborate with a community of innovators to offer new solutions that can improve efficiency and/or clinical outcomes for the heathcare provider organizations we all serve.

I enjoy the role of Product Manager (or Product Owner) as it allows me to work with teams across all facets of the business to translate strategic vision, customer insight, and data into valued offerings. I do this by applying Pragmatic principles for strategic & tactical planning, and use the "dual track" Scrum/Agile methodology for iterative software development. My Product work in Clinical Solutions has involved managing multiple aspects of Elsevier's flagship clinical reference platform, ClinicalKey - a semantic search engine & adaptive content platform offering web, mobile, EHR, & API-based access to a vast amount of clinical content for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.- I played a leading role in the planning and execution of the redesign & re-architecture of ClinicalKey platform, launching the new platform in late 2014. - I then turned my focus to planning, building, launching, and managing the ClinicalKey API & EHR/EMR Integration Services program, focused on workflow-centric integration of contextually intelligent ClinicalKey search & content services within Healthcare IT systems like EHR systems.- These new tools empower health care providers with clinical decision support (CDS) services smart enough to customize their search results based on anonymous patient demographics, bringing speed and focus to decisions that make a difference at the point of care.- I also played a heavy consultative role with customers desiring EHR integration, working with new & existing ClinicalKey client institutions, their IT teams, and vendor counterparts from companies like Cerner, Epic, MEDITECH, and others to achieve the desired UX & functionality within the constraints and capabilities of their technical & network environments. - These integrations use the HL7 Infobutton implementation, customized Search APIs, and/or the latest data standard for healthcare interoperability, HL7 SMART on FHIR.

I was responsible for marketing Elsevier's electronic learning solutions in the Nursing & Health Professions (NHP) space, primarily the business unit's digital textbook platforms (Evolve eBooks, which was subsumed by Pageburst). I led the development and execution of the Pageburst marketing launch, and also led the many aspects of the re-branding of the Elsevier NHP business unit's identity, including requirements gathering, design, and build of the Elsevier Advantage website - the hub of the NHP business unit's online marketing presence. My other marketing management responsibilities included managing employees, simulations products, mobile applications, and many aspects of Evolve, a learning management system (LMS) based platform.

I drove sales of a wide array of textbook and electronic solutions to a variety of health science educators and students in various disciplines ranging from Postsecondary (ADN, EMT, etc) to Baccalaureate/Masters (e.g. BSN, MSN) to Doctoral (e.g. MD/DO, DPT, OD). During this time I developed strong business relationships with educators and administrators, performing solution-based group presentations of the Elsevier suite of products to departmental, institutional, and State level committees. While representing Elsevier to its customers, I regularly provided market intelligence and product ideas to internal stakeholders.
