About Jessee Steele
I'm currently an Environmental Scientist at Eastern Research Group, Inc. I grew up in a rural town in the Great Smoky Mountains—digging around in the dirt, running on the trails, and taste-testing wild plants. I am fascinated by how elements flow through the environment and affect outcomes for ecosystems and people. I love thinking about thinking: how we come to certain beliefs, how certain we can be in those beliefs, and how we reconcile conflicting beliefs. Throughout my life, learning how to plainly lay out my thoughts in writing has made me feel more capable of enjoying the richness of life. Similarly, learning how to use data to evaluate claims has made me more curious about various beliefs and ways of knowing. I aim to facilitate the same empowering experiences for others as an aspiring researcher and educator in biogeochemistry and ecosystem ecology.
Listed skills include Analytical Writing, Communication, Teamwork, Research, and 7 others.
