Manages the NYS Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Stewardship Program to educate college/university students about SMM principles and to guide them through the conceptualization and implementation of SMM community projects.Chairs NYSAR3's statewide Organics Council to foster professional connections, collaborations, and events that advance the increased adoption of wasted food reduction, food recovery, composting, and compost-use throughout NYS.Provides technical assistance and training to various stakeholders across NYS including municipalities, community groups, K-12 schools, businesses, residents, and others to help them achieve their waste reduction, reuse, and recycling goals.Develops SMM-focused educational materials and resources such as flyers, presentations, tip-sheets, interactive maps, databases, surveys, videos, and more for topics including wasted food, composting, single-use plastics, waste reduction, reuse, recycling, zero waste, circular economy, planned obsolescence, extended-producer responsibility, and more.

Created educational materials and communications to promote recycling, alternative transportation, energy efficiency, cleaning technologies, and other sustainable practices to S.U. students, faculty, and staff. Synthesized research findings of safer cleaning technologies, bike sharing programs, electric vehicle charging stations, and more to aid in programmatic and initiative decision making. Facilitated sustainability-related presentations for S.U. classes. Connected with students, faculty, staff, and the public at S.U. events to promote the division’s sustainability initiatives and priorities.
