My expertise is business law, with an emphasis on M&A. In case of dispute I can represent you in the Dutch courts and courts of appeal. I have a background in insolvency and I have been appointed by the court of The Hague as liquidator or trustee between 2003 and 2022. Through my activities in International Practice Group (IPG) you also have easy access to other lawyers, accountants and tax advisors around the world. I prefer to work collaboratively with my clients to find reasons why a transaction should proceed, not identify dozens of reasons why it shouldn’t. I recognise the importance of listening to and understanding my clients’ needs and I appreciate that providing a compelling service requires more than just a sharp intellect; it needs understanding, compassion and emotional intelligence. I can think creatively to solve problems by making sure that I understand the context in which I am advising and how my advice should support the objectives of my client.
