Talent & Culture Representive
The Talent & Culture Representative role is the main point of contact between the staff and the studio. We are advocates, mentors, and confidants as well as representatives of the studio’s philosophy and policies. We embody the philosophy of Steamroller by collaborating with the Heads of the Departments to provide support and guidance in pursuit of the career and personal development of the our steammates. Our role also provides support in building company infrastructures that foster and maintain those relationships, including prioritizing the well-being of the staff and their career path, and providing training curriculums that fit the needs of the studio, the individuals and their teams.

I lead the team to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network and created an organized plan to join the event and create a pop-up tent representing Publix. I also assisted our store and department on our Associate Voice Survey Team to discuss current issues in our individual departments and create solutions and discussions to improve employee morale. Leading a front end towards success. I also participated in our company outreach summer response team. Where I coordinated with a higher volume store during the summer to travel and support their customer service department. This included all of the regular responsibilities with added travel responsibilities.
Customer Service Team Leader
My main responsibility as a CSTL was to assist in the hiring process and the interviewing process. This meant leading our onboarding process and training newly hired associates. While at my store I created an organized and streamlined process to hire new associates and walk them through onboarding. This meant reviewing required documentation, teaching them about the Publix culture, walking them through their “Welcome to your Publix” class and teaching them about our mission. It was also my job to give them a guided tour around the store, departments, and teach them about some of the general expectations for working at that location. I also processed I9s and a E-Verify to hire associates. I also focused on coaching, training associates, handing service recoveries, and coordinating a department. As well as fostering a positive and productive work environment that corresponded with the company’s mission and updated the team on new policies and safety procedures. I did this by always leading with an open-door policy, investing in my team, and building trust with my associates. Some of my other responsibilities were to run a weekly payroll for the store. It was my job to cross-check reports for discrepancies and working with other department managers to fix and audit associate timecards. Once finished it was my job to review those timecards of over one hundred associates and submit them to our corporate department to process.

As a HR Coordinator II, one of my main responsibilities was to be the first point of contact for our management teams, department teams as well as all our students.
