The National Steel Symphony Orchestra of Trinidad and Tobago (NSSO) is an ensemble composed of the best literate and technically astute steelpan musicians resident in Trindad and Tobago. The NSSO uses the Genesis ("G") pan exsclusively and performs a wide variety of music: orginal compositions; Classical music transcriptions, Calypso andSoca, Reggae, Latin; and other types of world musics.The NSSO presents many concerts per year including a gala series in mid-year (Pan on a Higher Note) and has performed at Queen's Hall, Naparima Bowl, the Academy for the Performing Arts, and Daaga Auditorium, UWI; school tours; and many national events. National performances include: performances at the Opening Ceremony 5th Summit of the Americas (2009); Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference (2009); Naming of Aldwyn Roberts Auditorium, NAPA (2011); the opening of the UWI Penal-Debe Campus (2011); SteelFestTT Concert (2012); 50th Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago Independence Concert (2012) and a command concert for the visit of His Excellency the President of Nigeria (2012).Tours have included Carifesta X in Guyana (2008); Credomatic International Festival XX, Costa Rica (2010), the the Launch of the Aime Cesaire Centenary Year in Martinique (2013), Cropover, Barbados (2013); Carifesta XI in Suriname (2013) and the 9th International Folk Festival in China (2013).Major works conducted include: Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto #1, Marche Slave; Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue; Len Boogsie Sharpe: In the Rainforest; Cycles of works by Trinidad and Tobago composers Ray Holman and Jit Samaroo;Major artistes include: Sean Sutherland, piano; Jeannine De Bique, soprano; Turon Nicholas, soprano; Adafih Padmore, soprano; Kay Alleyne, mezzo-soprano; Michele Dowrich, mezzo-soprano; Drums of India; Shivannand Maharaj, violin; Metamorphosis Dance Company; Cascade Ballet; Susan Mohip Dance Company; UWI Arts Chorale

Community chamber orchestra with a varied repertoire including Beethoven's Fifth Symphony; Schubert's Fifth Symphony; Beethoven Piano Concerto #3; Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini; and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Premiered works for Symphonic Orchestra with the inclusion of Steelpan and included the world premier of Ben Wahlund's "Only When Eternity Nears" for steelpan solo and orchestra.

Conducted College Choirs Alpha and Omega in formal concerts and at Chapel performances. Toured with the groups to Philadelphia and Maryland. Conducted the massed choirs at the Five College Choral Concert at Smith College in 1993.Revived and conducted the Smith College Orchestra in performances at the College. Pianist and Guest Conductor with the Orchestra during their Tour of Trinidad and Tobago in 2004.
