For over five years, I’ve been teaching Horticulture and Environmental Science, building on everything I learned in my undergrad and grad studies. Teaching has been a journey of growth for me—I’m always learning, not just from the books, but from my students too.I’ve been lucky to teach at W.B. Saul High School, the largest agricultural high school in the U.S. It’s been an amazing experience, and I’m proud of the mark I’ve left there, helping my students develop a love for plants and nature.I’m passionate about environmental and life sciences. I graduated Cum Laude from Temple University with a strong foundation in Biology and Horticulture. My coursework covered everything from Plant Community Ecology and Conservation Biology to Evolutionary Genetics and Plant Propagation.I also earned my Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, where I wrote my thesis on teaching controversial topics in the science classroom. I’m proud to have received top marks for it.As a teacher, my mission has always been to prepare my students for whatever comes next, whether that’s college or the workforce. I teach AP Environmental Science and 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade Horticulture, with a hands-on approach. For example, my AP students conduct a quadrat survey to study the biodiversity of our school’s woods—something they consistently tell me they enjoy.I’m a hard worker, a quick learner, and I get along with people easily. Now, I’m looking for a remote opportunity where I can keep growing, learning, and sharing my passion for environmental science and education.
