Throughout my years working at a non-profit organization, with the mission to serve our most vulnerable populations, I have worked in several capacities, all leading to where I am today. My initial focus was on the clients - working case management to find the resources that struggling individuals need so desperately. I was graciously given the opportunity to serve our organization by way of recruitment. In the Recruiter role, my end goal was to find the workforce to support our clients and continue the work necessary to preserve the organization's mission. Recently, I was afforded another advancement in the organization, as Employee Engagement Specialist, which transitioned my intent from recruitment to retention. I was able to see the challenges within retaining staff in positions from the recruitment role and now have the opportunity to play a hand in fighting for and keeping our valuable staff in order to continue serving those in our community. Culture and employee satisfaction are key in maintaining this direction and I hope to cultivate the heart posture necessary for retaining our biggest resources - our employees.
