Led a technology roadmap to overhaul and replace antiquated wired and wireless networking technologies for the headquarters office. Oversaw the design and vendor selection for a cutting-edge audio-video conferencing solution for the conference center of WWF D.C. Designed, acquired, configured, and deployed modernized audio-video conferencing solutions for various conference rooms while adjusting for supply-chain shortages. Configured and deployed an automated monitoring system to monitor all critical systems providing the IT department with immediate visibility into issues the moment they occurred.

Lead a team of IT staff and web developers to support a small/medium business Windows environment with in-house custom-made web application ERP and financial tracking software. Plan, design, and maintain both the network infrastructure and the windows domain environment and add redundancy to reduce downtime. Provide top-tier support and administration for Windows Server 2003R2 / 2008R2 / 2012R2, VMware ESX/vSphere, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Create and maintain web environment running custom web applications using IIS and MS SQL server. Manage and maintain all vendor contracts and agreements. Primary duties include the installation and delivery of new windows 2003 application servers configured to the Diplomatic Security configuration guidelines. Maintain customer relations and support. Prepare an average of 30 application servers a month plus support all existing and newly created servers. Secondary duties include assisting in the support of a large scale active directory environment supporting over 3000 users, assist in network infrastructure support including over 300 servers. Assist the tier 3 support team with any outstanding issues they may have, and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.Achievements: Designed a server deployment plan using Norton Ghost and windows security templates to help streamline the server deployment process and increase overall efficiency.

Administer and support company network with 100+ servers, VOIP system, and desktop computers. Maintain 24 by 7 support by being on-call. Achievements: Redesigned the network infrastructure to a more stable, secure system. Helped the CTO and development team redesign software workflow and IT side of company business model to improve overall company product. Designed monitoring and automated reaction system for production and operation systems. Implemented new security settings using active directory group policy.

Maintain, repair, and upgrade all computer systems and servers on the property. Maintain a network with over 600 computers. Work with Novell network administration, Novell server, Unix (Bally's SDS) server, and Windows 2003 servers. Work onsite with user's individual computer problems both hardware and software. Work with outside vendors and contractors for new systems and upgrades to current systems.

Take calls from users and resolve problems over the phone or by remote administration, log call ticket in HEAT call logging software. Take calls on issues dealing with Windows, Micros, Novell, Remote Management, VPN, internet connectivity, email, AS/400 user accounts, user jobs, printer issues, Microsoft Office, and other issues. Escalate calls to corresponding supervisor, managers, or technicians based on priority of issue and severity of situation. Also had to monitor different AS/400’s for errors and respond to errors accordingly.
