Primary duties include the installation and delivery of new windows 2003 application servers configured to the Diplomatic Security configuration guidelines. Maintain customer relations and support. Prepare an average of 30 application servers a month plus support all existing and newly created servers. Maintain, repair, and upgrade all computer systems and servers on the property. Maintain a network with over 600 computers. Take calls from users and resolve problems over the phone or by remote administration, log call ticket in HEAT call logging software. Take calls on issues dealing with Windows, Micros, Novell, Remote Management, VPN, internet connectivity, email, AS/400 user accounts, user jobs, printer issues, Microsoft Office, and other issues. Escalate calls to corresponding supervisor, managers, or technicians based on priority of issue and severity of situation. Also had to monitor different AS/400’s for errors and respond to errors accordingly.
