The Washington State properties (multiple newspaper group with print facility, 40,000+ combined circulation) faced 36 consecutive quarters of declining revenue prior to my arrival. Provided financial and sales leadership resulting in 6% FY2017-18 gross revenue improvements over prior year. Group was on track for 10% FY2018-19 revenue growth at completion of my 1-year contract.Brought top line talent to rural markets. Improved production efficiency at print plants while reducing waste and expenses (14% reduction to overall press facility expenses without reducing staff). Revamped promotional calendar to ensure profitable specialty products. Retrained marketing staff to sell digital. Increased paid print circulation 3.5% while implementing a 25% rate increase.

Leader during start-up of centralized graphic design and editing studios. Supervised the formation and distribution of editorial and advertising products to 104 newspapers in 11 states with combined 1.6 million weekly circulation. Directly managed teams of 100+ associates in multiple states.Led creation of pagination studios in Dayton, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Fayetteville, North Carolina. Led creation of advertising design studios in Cincinnati, Ohio; Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Piedmont Triad Region of North Carolina.Directed dissolution and transition of Civitas editorial and advertising departments during the sale of Civitas properties to six separate companies.Planned and directed 160% productivity improvement to pagination and advertising design generating more than $18.7M savings over five year period.
