I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies program hosted by the CUNY Graduate Center. I designed my major, Comparative Thought, to serve as a crossroads study between human thought's philosophical origins and psychological workings. I looked specifically at the medium of language, as someone passionate about writing and linguistics, to research how humans convey meaning from thought. I studied the Italian language for three years and participated in a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.Following my graduation, inspired by my study abroad program, I traveled to Thailand where I earned a 120-hour TEFL Certificate. In Thailand, I was employed at an English summer camp, an adult learning language school, and as a private English tutor. I have also worked in the United States tutoring various subjects through Varsity Tutors. Since returning from Thailand I have spent over three years working in Adult Language Centers in NYC teaching at every level from Beginner to TOEFL preparation.I will now be continuing my journey by earning a Master's of Science in Computer Science through NYU. I just completed their Bridge course and received a certificate of distinction and subsequently admission into their Master's program. I aim to study Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing to expand upon the pursuits of thought and language which my undergraduate degree focused on. As an interdisciplinary thinker, I believe I would be an asset to these fields.After completing my degree from NYU Tandon I would like to secure a position at the intersection of AI and education. I am eager to contribute to projects that enhance the learning experience through technology. After building a strong foundation of technical expertise, and gaining valuable experience in AI development within the education sector, I would ultimately like to transition into a role that aligns with my passion for ethical AI. Drawing on my specialized knowledge, I would like to engage in research, policy analysis, and consulting projects dedicated to the responsible and ethical use of AI in education. My work would be driven by a commitment to leveraging AI's incredible potential for progress while steering it away from potentially destructive applications.As a meaning-maker, I know I’ll find immense fulfillment in helping guide the responsible and ethical evolution of AI.
