Ad agency that handles high volume advertisements for newspapers around the country, aswell as flyers, banners, and other promotional items. Using my prior knowledge of printing and newspaper production, I held a few positions at the Star, eventually supervising the prepress department, working alongside the Production Manager. Having to maintain workflow, staff scheduling and meet tight production deadlines was very important. Training staff in graphics applications and printing specifics were required.

Worked in the prepress department as a graphic designer and commercial print artist. Job functions included building advertisements for the daily newspaper, coordinating commercial print booklets and flyers, and assisting in daily newspaper production. Working with sales reps and communicating well through email was a necessity in this position. Used Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator as well as Kodak and CREO/Kodak prepress production software.
