During my apprenticeship I worked for various companies. Early on in my career I didn’t realize how little I actually knew. I thought because my work ethic was far superior to the majority… that I was more valuable. Years later I finally learned enough aspects of the trade to understand that I actually knew nothing; furthermore, there is always more learning to be done. RNJ Construction: learned fast paced interior framing of partitions, knee walls, ceilings, and window returns. The majority of our work was high rise apartments. Here the most valuable things I learned were how to efficiently, and effectively load a job for speed of installation. The foreman Bobby Mcginness would put me in charge of all the other apprentices for deliveries and small projects. Jimmy Perlin was my partner he was a very good drywall guy. He taught me a lot of tricks In hanging drywall that helped with speed of installation. Donaldson Organization: Met my firstreal mentor here the foreman Chuck Ohlmiller. He taught me how to frame, rock, and bead soffits in a very systematic and efficient way. Anything he would show me he would carefully take the time to instruct me once, after that I would handle the entire building. Greenebuild LLC:Met my second mentor here “spider” who taught me how to precut an entire floor of framing and read drawings. Sales; Live transfer leads Started answering the phones in customer service. Opened my first account before the week was over. Spent a year acquiring new mortgage accounts. Sold direct to company owners, branch managers, and marketing directors. Identified and acquired accounts in various industries. Helped develop a short 30 second pitch for each client to blast out cost-effective marketing campaigns through the use of mass dialing systems and call-centers to pre-screen leads before transfer.
