About Jesse Nofi

Carpenter foreman specialized in Production framing interior and exterior systems. Started digging holes and cutting lumber as a teenager working various jobs from landscaping to carpentry. Joined the local 290 carpenters union at the age of 25 and started as a first year apprentice with a slight background in residential carpentry including wood framing, drywall/sheathing, pre-hung door installation, window installation, and Trimwork. Once in the union I began to learn production framing interior and exterior systems. I was lucky enough to meet older mentors along the way who taught me different aspects of the trade. Roughly five years later I became a journeyman and transferred to Local 45 and started working in NYC. Here I further developed as a journeyman learning more advanced aspects of framing and building layout. I enjoy framing and teaching/training younger kids/apprentices anything they want to learn. The past 4 years I have mainly been working as a lead carpenter with a 2-5 man team framing various buildings including the interior and exterior. The coolest thing I have done and recently learned is using the Hilti total station robotic layout tool to layout and build simultaneously.
