I joined the Empower team during my time pioneering Northwestern University's undergraduate domestic exchange program exploring Silicon Valley's startup and innovation culture. Working with the Empower team is a phenomenal opportunity to contribute my editorial and design content production skills to a small, but rapidly growing, team. Through my efforts, I work to revolutionize the way Empower engages with its growing community across various digital platforms. Along the way, I work with the team to refine our brand's identity as we near our official launch date.

I grew up devouring sections of The Times on Sundays. My family and I would take turns boasting about our favorite stories of the week, mine more often than not coming from the travel, style and food feature sections. During my work with The Times, I served as a design intern laying out sections of the paper, assigning illustrations and collaborating with editors, photographers and web producers to create cross-platform works that would delight and intrigue our readers week after week.

Currently, I work as the liaison between NABJ-NU and Medill Career Services. I serve as the point person for career advice and organize workshops and information sessions about personal and professional development. Overall, I strive to equip NABJ-NU members with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed on- and off-campus, regardless of any challenges or obstacles they may face.

Worked as a Research Assistant for Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. During my time, I studied interactive, online journalism and alternative methods of storytelling. Examples of successful case studies include the New York Times' Snow Fall, Pitchfork's Station to Station and Al Jazeera's The War Across the River.

My responsibilities include overseeing the design and revitalization of the publication and creating graphics and promotional materials for Northwestern's only multicultural publication.

During my time as an intern for the Houston Chronicle, I wrote and acted as an Editor for the Intern Newspaper, the Chronicle Cub. Upon completion of this student program, I established several ties with the Chronicle. Following the internship, I was called back as an intern to help cover the 2012 Presidential Election.

As a Communications Director, I worked to establish Mr. George as a credible and worthy candidate through my written editorials, feature stories, and interviews.
