I lead Prairie Lakes Church, a multisite church with 7 locations throughout northeast and central Iowa.

Cedar Falls, Ia

I serve on our Teaching Team, lead our Executive Staff Team, oversee our Campus Pastors, oversee our Central Ministries Director, and serve as a staff liaison to our board as an ex-officio member. I'm also responsible for the creation and administration of many of our Leadership Development systems and processes, plus general pastoral duties.

Waterloo, Iowa

We publicly launched our first multisite campus in the neighboring town of Waterloo on Easter of 2010. Our campus pastor took a different job shortly thereafter. After stepping in as an interim, I accepted a call to lead that campus’ staff and congregation and developed a multiethnic staff, worship service and community. I also helped to create the sermon calendar and preached about every 6-8 weeks.

I led all of our artistic staff and volunteers, both technical and musical, during our transition from being one campus to a multisite church of three campuses. Additionally, I resourced the Senior Pastor by developing sermon series content, and served as a bridge between teaching, arts, and communication staff to provide cohesive and relevant worship services. I also continued to preach from the platform occasionally.

At our main campus of 1500 people, I recruited, developed, and led three volunteer worship bands on the weekends. I also ran rehearsals, participated in brainstorming meetings, and preached from the platform on weekends occasionally.

Our Cedar Falls campus sits ½ mile down the road from the University of Northern Iowa, a state school of about 14,000 students. I led our college ministry, which included a weekly Sunday evening service with full programming. I developed student leaders, volunteers, and taught every weekend. Additionally, I preached in the weekend services 3-4 times per year.

Using StratOp and proprietary exercises, I am on a team of consultants that offers churches of all sizes Health Assessments to benchmark key metrics, on-site Strategic Planning Retreats to drive focused action initiatives, and individualized coaching to ensure progress and drive results.

Cedar Falls, Ia

Through an innovative partnership between Wesley Seminary and Prairie Lakes Church, I've taught elective courses on-site for credit towards a M.A. in Ministry Leadership.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

I taught a series of on-site classes as a part of Bethel's initiative to provide remote graduate-level learning at local churches. We were able to graduate 3 students with Master of Arts degrees.
