I am currently a Research and Development Chemist with LANXESS. My research focuses on grease chemistry, as well as detergents for various applications. My research interests include anything involved with green chemistry with an emphasis on reducing waste and lowering the impact on the environment. I am also currently a teacher for the Princeton Review with a focus on General Chemistry. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and helping students understand the complexity of science in an easy to understand manner.Along the lines of teaching, I volunteer my time as often as I can. Through a partnership with UOIT and the Durham District School Board, the "Dr. Jesse Allan Program" was created to engage students in the field of science and technology and give them a first hand look at why science should be pursued in the future.
