Thin Films Process Engineer
CurrentAs a thin films process engineer at Lotus Applied Technology, I operate and maintain a wide range of thin film processing equipment and techniques, including sputtering systems, electron beam evaporation, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, atomic layer deposition, annealing, wet bench processing, dry etch, plasma ashing, and photolithography. My responsibilities also encompass characterizing thin films through various analysis and measurement systems, such as optical transmission and reflectance, ellipsometry, CV curves, stress measurements, scanning electron microscopy, and other methods of visual and microscopic inspection. I meticulously observe processing conditions, documenting and summarizing results to ensure precision and quality in our research and development efforts. Additionally, I play a vital role in the preparation and maintenance of tooling, chemical precursors, solvents, and expendable components used in thin film processing equipment. Process characterization, optimization, and active participation in coordinating laboratory resources across projects are integral aspects of my role. Troubleshooting, customer interfacing, promoting safety, and collaborating with maintenance personnel and process technologists to maximize tool up-times and reliability are also key components of my responsibilities.
