Co-created study-abroad program, now among the College’s most popular: an instructional travel and service work program for students in Brazil and Tanzania. Designed projects, including: protecting a spring, vulnerable to environmental and user degradation and supplying villages on the slopes of Kilimanjaro and at least one grade school with water for all needs; the installation of solar-powered, rechargeable water filter in a school; the renovation of dilapidated and unusable school building; building of gardens and productive tree nurseries for villagers; constructing a structure for educational and recreational activities serving disadvantaged youth; transforming an derelict space into a workshop and retail store for craftsmen and women. The West Alabama Beekeepers Association serves as a regional source for education, networking, news, and socializing for beekeepers of all levels. We meet monthly in the auditorium of the Tuscaloosa County Extension Office in Tuscaloosa, AL. We also meet virtually via our FB page.

Counseled and mentored student- and teacher-participants in ETA, Fulbright-Hays Summer Seminar, and Study & Research programs. Spear-headed strategic planning design mandated by board of directors.Taught seminars on Brazilian education and Brazilian culture. Produced monthly and annual reports. Constructed original evaluation tools to measure success of programs. Interviewed candidates. Led Institute of International Education's (IIE) 2012 International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) with 33 executives, administrators and professors from 18 US educational institutions and IIE.

This is the Brazilian implementation of the Chain of Change Program of Beyondmedia Education. We created a video with youth about violence in their lives and connecting them to other groups of youth around the world engaged in similar projects to exchange reflections on the issue and strategies on how to avoid, cope with, and end violence.

Developed curricula, led workshops and secured external funding for media literacy education for constituents from disadvantaged, underserved, discriminated and minority backgrounds, especially women and girls, and including people with disabilities. Established "Chain of Change: Youth Strategies to End Violence," a youth media and social networking experiment around violence and other issues of importance to youth, in Brazil. I researched higher and continuing education opportunities in professional areas with the goal of assembling job training programs.

Recruited, organized, trained and supervised more than 75 volunteers, facilitated voter education workshops, collected and analyzed voter survey information, organized candidate campaign events, and canvassed potential voters. In the final week before the election, I played a central role in the “Get Out The Vote” (GOTV) campaign, which reached more than 14,000 supporters in the last two days of the election, and resulted in a 2 to 1 margin of victory in all 10 city wards. In the traditionally Republican / Libertarian state of New Hampshire, Democrats won all major elections in that cycle due to our efforts. Volunteer position.
