I began my career in the language industry and after 10 years, decided to pursue a dream. One Masters and a stint selling Scandinavian homewares later, I am now an Editor at independent publisher, The Do Book Co.My role is incredibly varied - being part of a small team means I’m involved in every part of the publishing process (commissioning, editing, design, author care, sales, PR, marketing, events, reprints) which suits me well as I’ve always thrived in environments where I’m slightly too busy.My favourite task will always be working with the written word. Not only do I love grammar, but I also take great pleasure in finding new ways to express ideas and make them as engaging and accessible as possible for the reader - which is ultimately what Do Books ‘do’.Second to that is holding a book you’ve worked on in your hands for the first time. I’ll never get tired of that!
